I guess I have always had some form of anxiety. I think we all do. It heightened for me when I was pregnant with my second daughter and my neighbors daughter, 2 at the time, was kidnapped. This event rocked my world hardcore. I can't even imagine what it did to theirs. Even though this was an isolated incident, it turned out the be a babysitter they had hired, I still could not trust anyone and I couldn't sleep at night. I just kept looking out my window waiting for an unidentifiable car to pull up outside.

After months of being crazed with this event, I decided to go see my doctor. She actually diagnosed me with PTSD. I was shocked. This tragic event didn't actually happen to me so why was I having such an issue? She explained to me that just because it didn't happen to me, my empathy towards the situation while having a baby and being pregnant, had me in an emotional turmoil situation.

I continued therapy for a few months until I could learn to sleep again. But my anxiety of unreal situations happening, still remains. I am constantly panicked about the worst events happening in my life. I am constantly worried about the people close to me and what could happen to them. I worry about how I act and what people think of me.

Believe me, I do not want to live this way. I have been working on it for years now and it is actually better than ever. There is still work to be done but I found a book that really changed things for me. It's called "The Five Second Rule" by: Mel Robbins. This book has allowed me to think differently and gave me a tool to move on with my life and to stop letting life events take over. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has any form of anxiety or lack of confidence in themselves.

The most important thing to remember is you have the power to change. You don't have to live an unhappy life. You don't have to be someone who cannot change. You have to believe in yourself. We only get one chance at life. Don't waste it!

Hi, I'm Michelle!

I have been on a personal growth journey for quite some time now, but I really made a breakthrough when I decided to share my story and publish my first book in November 2022. I made even more progress in 2024 when I decided to share my secrets with my family and close friends. It hasn't been easy, but it has been enlightening. I have truly never felt more at peace, even though I am still processing everything that happened to me. I have learned so much from my life experiences. I have had many people tell me that I am a great listener and that I give new insight into healing. I want to share my journey and story with you in hopes that I can inspire you to do the inner work you have wanted to do. Nothing is better than having support and understanding on your side, with that said, I am here for you!
